A little about me…

I am a picture-book publisher and creative director who is excited by all things in the world of words and illustrations and, most particularly, by the magical integration of words and illustrations as they manifest in picture books.

I have been a full-time publisher of books for children and young adults for over twenty years, and an editor for a whole lot longer. I have worked as publisher with publishing giant Scholastic Australia, for the small independent Little Hare Books, and with the acclaimed publisher Hardie Grant. I currently work as publisher at Dirt Lane Press, an imprint of WestWords.

I am the author of around 20 books for young readers, from picture books, to an up-cycled version of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein for young adults. My most recent picture-book, Just One Bee, co-authored with Anthony Bertini and illustrated by Christopher Nielsen, was an Honour Book in the CBCA Picture Book of the Year 2022.
